Background
Scott Campbell received a BS in biology in 1980 and MS in ecology in 1982 from the University of Kansas. Scott's work at KBS is quite varied but includes a significant outreach and public service component. He helps to coordinate many aspects of fundraising, and also the undergraduate research and internship programs at KBS. He provides technical support and field assistance for many types of aquatic and terrestrial studies. A former high school teacher, for 12 years prior to joining KBS in 1998 he was self-employed as a freelance naturalist and environmental educator.
Research Interests
Reservoir monitoring and assessment; captive propagation and behavioral ecology of the endangered Topeka shiner; aquatic invasive species; prairie and wetland restoration; algal biofuels.
